Celebrating Our Mothers

WE WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE an important figure in all of our lives—our mothers!

We’re grateful for all of the time, attention, and care our mothers provide for us throughout our upbringing and beyond. The positive impact they have is immeasurable and we want to express what they mean to us this Mother’s Day. I’m sure all of you have something extraordinary you could say about your mother. My mother is no exception. For over ten years she cared for my father who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and this is after she beat breast cancer. In addition, she also cared for four grandchildren on a daily basis. This past summer, my father passed away so a huge burden was taken from her, but the emotional turmoil of losing her husband of over 50 years has still taken its toll. Plus, she continues to watch her four grandchildren. She is an amazing mother and grandmother. We’ve had the opportunity to help plant and weed her garden this year and it is always a joy to work alongside her and visit as we work. It’s also amazing to see my children step up and help so that it relieves their grandmother from having to do so much. It’s good to see she has that influence upon her grandchildren. So this Mother’s Day I want to honor my mother for her hard work, love and dedication to her family. Thank you for your great example. We love you!

I have invited our team members to share their thoughts and favorite memories about their mothers and, if they are one, their thoughts on being a mother. Enjoy!

What We Love About Our Moms
From Bri: I have the BEST mom! The thing I love most about my mother is her heart! She’s so kind, loving, patient, wise, beautiful, and just awesome. She’s always looking out for the people in her life, giving them advice and continuously educating herself. Oh, and she loves baking so there are always yummy treats around which could be good… or bad! My mother is amazing.

We have waaaaaay too many great memories to narrow it down to just one! So my favorite memories would have to be us traveling together! We have been on road trips across the U.S. visiting California, Arizona, New York, Florida, Louisiana, etc. and even traveled outside of the country visiting places like Paris, Italy, London, Belize and Spain, just to name a few. I was one of the most well-traveled people all throughout school, starting in elementary! We had a BLAST and bonded on every single trip we took! I could never thank her enough for those experiences and memories.

From Wendy: What I love most about my mother is that I can tell her anything. One of my favorite memories is crocheting with her.

From Enjoli: What I love most about my mom is that she is so crafty. My favorite memory is that she handmade all my unique costumes as a child, and our trip to Hawaii with my dance group.

From Theresa: What I love most about my mom is that she loves the Lord and has tried to teach me that. One of my favorite memories with my mom is going on walks.

From The Mothers On Our Team… What Do You Love Most About Being A Mom?
From Wendy: What I love most about being a mom is the unconditional love of my little humans. Being a mother has shown me that there is so much more to life than material things. Being a mother has made me proud and Blessed to raise the next generation.

From Anjoli: What I love most about being a mom is all the snuggles and watching them grow and change in personality and style. My life changed for the better as mother because I learned to love outside myself and when I became a single mom, my daughter depended on me to help her grow.

From Theresa: What I love most about being a mom is watching my children learn and grow. I also love when my kids say, “I love you” and mean it. Life changed for the better when I became a mother because I learned to love more and be more selfless.

Mothers, We Appreciate You!

Whether your mom lives near or far, show her how grateful you are for her this Mother’s Day. To all you moms out there, THANK YOU!
